Dr. Yoshitaka Kuwata graduated Gumma University in 1986. He joined NTT DATA and had been working as a researcher for technologies of System Integrations. Since 2010, he has been working for cloud platforms based on OSS. He managed projects to build OpenStack-based private cloud platforms for National Institute of Informatics (NII). He also managed a Petabyte-class cloud distributed storage system for a carrier, which is one of the largest storage system based on OpenStack.After he moved to Muroran Institute of Technology in 2014, he stared teaching a basic IT course for 1st grade students. He uses Moodle, the most popular OSS learning management system, for his class. He is also working for the planning, management, and operation of ICT systems of the University.He is interested in distributed systems, collaboration, and OSS community. He encourages people to make use of OSS.
